InStride is recognized as the leading hippotherapy center in the southeastern United States and has been accredited by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) International since 1994. InStride's new state-of-the-art facility offers year round programs in equine assisted activities including hippotherapy, therapeutic riding, clinic-based therapies and learning programs. We also offer experiential learning through outreach and youth programs and many volunteer opportunities. InStride is a place where people come to heal, to learn and to make friends that last a lifetime. We strive to provide support and growth opportunities for all of our special riders and their families. Our association with Children First and South County Family YMCA has provided an opportunity for an inclusive “Horsin’ Around with Literacy” Equestrian Day-Camp experience for pre-school children. InStride is the home of the Sarasota Special Olympics Equestrian Team from January through April as we prepare riders for regional and state competitions. We also serve our community through school programs at Oak Park and experiential learning opportunities provided on-site through our outreach programs. InStride is a charitable, nonprofit organization. We rely on donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations to support 70% of our program costs.
