Antique Sunderland Pink Lustreware Cup & Saucer
Antique Sunderland Pink Lustreware Cup & Saucer
Pink Lustreware porcelain cup and saucer from the early 1800s, made in Sunderland, England. These porcelain sets with the trademark pink pearlescent designs were popular among middle-class people in England at the time, and were a result of innovations in glaze and firing techniques.
This set is in a "house" pattern, and is stamped "Dawson" on the bottom of the saucer. The cup and saucer are free of cracks and crazing, but there are some small chips around the base of the cup.
