Joulia Vitaliy Mixed Media Carved Fresco X1
This is a very infesting and unique piece by Russian born artist, Joulia Vitaliy. This is a mixed-media of oil on wood, Stucco, water-color, carved resin, and more. This one shows two women, one looking at the viewer and one looking inside. Original is approx 20" x 2" x 16". There is a crack on the 'stone' woman's face, this may or not be intentional.
Artist Joulia Vitaliy began her systematic education in art at the age of 11, in a Russian traditional art school. She had great teachers in the most respectable art colleges in St. Petersburg, Russia, and acquired skills in many media and techniques. She learned more about what she did not want to do rather than what she wanted to. It is a long journey, to discover oneself in art. During her life, she experimented with many forms of art, including a conceptual avant-garde theatrical group known as "Laboratory of Experimental Fashion", which she co-created along with Russian underground icon Kirill Miller. Her paintings can be found in private collections in Europe and the United States.
