8-3 / 4" Painted Silver Maple Wooden Bowl #2 (B236)

Stunning Silver Maple wooden bowl made from an urban Colorado tree. The outside was painted with two different colors of iridescent paint. Iridescent paint gives the bowl it's own luminous, faux-finish effect. The person I learned the painting technique from refers to it as "Cosmic Cloud", but my wife thinks it looks like flowers (Flower Cloud?). Although the pictures might all look the same, they show all four sides of the bowl. Don't forget to click on a picture to see an enlarged photo. The inside was left natural and is perfectly smooth. The bowl measures 8-3/4" x 2-3/8". The bowl was finished with multiple coats of Danish Oil inside and out to give it a food safe and durable finish. To me quality is not just in how the bowl is made or what type of wood is used, quality also means using the best finish you can if you want your bowl to last and look good for years.
