Alexander Valley Vineyards 2022 Merlot Full Case

Enjoy this case of 12 bottles of the 2022 Merlot from the Alexander Valley in Healdsburg, CA. Merlot from the Wetzel Family Estate has a reputation for being a big, complex wine. First produced in 1984, this has been a classically structed wine each year, often showing as much tannin as many Cabernet Sauvignons. A blend of 97% Merlot, 2% Malbec and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine was cave aged for 17 months in a combination of both French and American oak barrels. This vintage includes the touch of Malbec to accentuate our Merlot's dark berry flavors, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon for additional complexity and layers of flavor. Spicy aromas of black cherry, plum, boysenberry, cassis, vanilla and oak fill the glass, while this powerful, full bodied wine gives way to rich flavors of black cherry, plum, cassis and slight chocolate.
