In the heart of Sonoma County, the Russian River Valley is a producer of some of the finest wines and this is no exception. This case of 12 bottles is translucent light ruby color, light smokiness and Sauvage on the nose with hints of chamomile and fennel pollen. Seductively pleasing. Raspberry and light cherries infuse the palate with some rhubarb and earth. Juiciness is persistent with a wonderful interplay of earthiness and medium tannins. Silky on the palate and finishes long…a low alcohol gem this vintage. Will cellar well or is more than drinkable now… a Charcuterie plate kind of wine.
