Vintage 1984 Commodore 1702 Color Composite CRT Monitor with Audio, WORKS GREAT! Genuine Commodore brand Model 1702 Color Composite CRT Monitor with Audio Manufactured October 1985 S# XC1252035(I) Tested, all working 09-2026- see screen shots. Designed by Commodore to work with the Commodore 64 and VIC 20 Computers, this color monitor with audio, will also work with a variety of other Commodore models including the 128, 16, Amiga, Etc., as well as other brand computers that provide a composite video and audio output, including the Apple II, Atari, TI/99, Etc., home game consoles that provide a composite video and audio output, including: PlayStation, Atari, Xbox, Coleco, Etc., and other devices that provide a composite video and audio output, including analog / security cameras, DVD drives, VCRs, video games and visual ad displays. Besides the standard composite video input, the Commodore 1702 is a superior monitor that ALSO features switchable, even higher quality, split CHROMA / LUMA video inputs, which, when used, provides a much sharper and better color display than the plain composite signal. The Commodore 64 / 128 computers in particular and some other devices provide this superior split CHROMA / LUMA signal when used with Commodore's special split video / audio cable. (Not included) There are convenient, separate front and rear RCA video / audio input jacks, with a rear switch to select inputs. The Commodore CRT also uses superior stripe, not dot, pixel technology similar to a Sony Trinitron, for a very sharp picture. The front and rear audio RCA input jacks drive a loud, built-in amplifier, which plays thought a grilled, top mounted internal speaker, so no other audio equipment is required for computer / game /movie sound. Convenient front panel control knobs allow many adjustments for: TINT, COLOR, BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST, HORIZONTAL POSITION, VERTICLE HOLD, and AUDIO VOLUME. The Green Power LED is bright and working. This monitor is in very good, used, working condition: The picture is bright, in focus and properly colored, no burn-in, (see actual computer and DVD screen shots), the audio is loud and accurate, all of the controls work- no scratchy sound or video glitches, and both the front and rear video / audio input jacks and switch work- tested with composite and special Commodore cables with a Commodore 64 computer and DVD player. Features Top, side carrying handles and built-in AC Power Cable. Due to age, use and storage, there are minor physical flaws that do not affect operation: some dirt / patina, scratches, adhesive tape residue. The flip down, front control bezel is missing. This monitor is great for Collectors, retro-gamers, or users who prefer the split CHROMA / LUMA video, or composite bright, sharp stripe display of a CRT with sound for their DVD, home computer / video game or signage use.
