Description
Deborah Banyas is a mixed media artist who was a fixture at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival in Miami, Florida for many years but is now retired and focusing on local projects in her home state of Ohio. Her whimsical stuffed fiber and carved wood art features pins/brooches and large wall sculptures incorporated with polymer clay elements. Colors: Black body with white dot and buttons/Blue face, hands and feet Measurements: 2 1/4" W X 2 1/2" H This whimsical vintage lady pin/brooch was purchased at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival in Miami, Florida in the 1990's and was only worn a few times. The body was created using cotton fiber, polymer clay and decorative beads. The lady appears to be bending over doing an exercise or attempting to touch her toes (you can be the judge of that). The pin/brooch can also be worn as a necklace by attaching a silk cord to the pin back on the back as shown in the photo (silk cord not included with purchase). *NOTE: The pin/brooch can also be positioned so it looks as though the lady is falling or flying through the air (see last photo). However, if you choose to wear it like this, it cannot be worn as a necklace because the pin in the back would be in an awkward position and not hold the piece upright. Comes packed in a box.
