My name is Gary Carra, and I am a longtime IMS member.I recently went on a trip to New York City, staying in a hotel booked by IMS New York Office Manager Annette Bergen.
It was a busy Friday night in the City as it always is, and when I got to the front desk of The Affinia with my confirmation #.. the person at the front desk had the reservation, but no notation of barter dollars exchanged or even a knowledge of what the barter group was. They went in the back to try and figure it out.
After a few minutes, I decided to try and call Annette even though it was 5:30 on Friday and I assumed she would (understandably) be out. So imagine my joy when she answered on the first ring. I explained the situation to her, she said she would wait with me until they came back - which she did. I basically handed my cell phone to the hotel staff, and Annette explained everything and I was set.
So its not uncommon to have misunderstands, things misfiled, etc... stuff happens.
What is uncommon these days is to have such a dedicated, conscientious employee as you at IMS have with Annette Bergen.
Congratulations on having such a tremendous asset to your team!
